Dr. Irene J. Petrick advises companies on their digital transformation journey. She recently retired from Intel as the Senior Director of Industrial Innovation, and prior to that was a professor at Penn State University. During her 30+ year career, her focus has been on innovation, technology evolution and disruption, and the context in which technology solutions are developed, deployed and used. Critical issues she addresses include the architecture that will best support a company’s strategic and operational goals, including strategies for data capture, processing, transmission and storage from the edge to the cloud. Petrick has extensive experience across industries including semiconductors, aerospace, automotive, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and also with the U.S. military and U.S. Departments of Commerce and Energy. She is the author or co-author of over 250 presentations and publications, and has been featured in Industry Week, the Financial Times, Forbes, AutomationWorld, and Control Engineering among others.
