Bio

Marc comes to Hitachi Vantara, having the role of Digital Technical Expert for the IoT offering. Marc had previously been with GE Digital where he was Solutions Director for the Predix applications and platform. Previous to that, Marc had been with PowerPlan, Headquartered in Atlanta, in the role of Principal Industry Expert in the Asset Investment Planning space. Previous to that, he was with Meridium International, a global enterprise software company headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia. During his eight years at Meridium he held a number of positions including business development, solution consulting, and SME in the PS organization. During his tenure he helped design and implement numerous enterprise business process enablement solutions.

Marc is past chair and current member of the US Technical Advisory Group to ISO TC251. He has been a contributing member since 2010, representing the interests of the USA and helped write the ISO 55000 set of standards that were first published in 2014. He is also convener of the working group that has been formed to develop the new international standard ISO 55011.

Marc earned his Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1992. He also continued with his professional development by attending the Center for Maintenance Optimization and Reliability Engineering at the University of Toronto.

Marc’s work experience is in oil & gas, manufacturing, chemical, oil sands, mining, power generation, pulp and paper, and forestry industries. He immigrated with his family to the USA in July of 2008 and has worked in the field of reliability and asset management for over 25 years. He speaks at diverse events on the topic of asset management systems and others.
