As vice president of innovation, Mark Zikra is at the forefront of the most exciting time for technological advancement in real estate. He oversees CA’s approach to developing cutting edge solutions that can have a transformative impact on property operations, resident experience, and asset investment. Through the technology and innovation team he leads, Mark is working hard to make the future a reality in CA’s world class assets.

In 2021, Mark was recognized as one of GlobeSt.‘s 2021 CRE Tech Influencers. An integral part in shifting the industry from segmented property technology to cohesive, integrated smart buildings, he explores new and emerging products and services and aligns the firm with technology companies to improve operations and position properties for the future.

Beginning as a leasing manager at one of CA’s very first assets, Mark was constantly looking for ways to streamline operations and use technology to solve inefficiencies. Over the years he has worked extensively in over 30 different markets across the U.S. and Europe, in many different professions ranging from leasing and operations to maintenance and marketing, and eventually, systems and technology. Today, Marks thought leadership is recognized from the Pentagon to Silicon Valley.

Mark earned a BS in Marketing from Iowa State University.
